Close Combat LSA - 1946 mod

This is my first preview from my last Close Combat mod and probably my last mod in the older engine from these games. Being a fan from the alternate eras, I could not miss the oportunity from to create in the last 6.00.01 from the Close Combat Last Stand Arnhem a new version, one very special from an 1946 mod.

This mod will be a bit special because it will let you to play the Close Combat Wacht am Rhein, the Close Combat The Longest Day and the Close Combat Last Stand Arnhem strategic maps. It will add more generic screens without big changes, it will be simple and it will add these three strategic maps, obviously at different versions.

About the maps, you will need copy them from your copy from these other games inside the maps mod folder. Without these original games, you will not be able to play the mod. It will avoid any thought about if this mod rip the files from Close Combat Wacht am Rhein and Close Combat The Longest Day. You will need them.

About progress, I have almost finished the addition from neccesary units and I was working in some new vehicles because I used models from my GTC 1946 mod but they are a bit bigger than the models in my CC WAR VetBoB mod and I need scale them better, by these reason, they are a bit imperfect by now. But for a first test after a lot of fight with the tools which I have not used for years..........well, better impossible.

This mod will add units from Germany, USA, UK, Japan and Russia. The most fun for me. I make the mod just thinking in to play it and I will share it as always because I have my own web site, if I would not have the web site, I would not share my mods.;)

After several hours discovering things in the code and many more remembering old knowledge. I have completed the creation from the first step, the addition the 1946 units divided at several battlegroups with the fpools system LSA where you can play a Ardennes campaign. I will use the same units with the original LSA and the Normandy campaign. Used at different positions will give enough fun.

About other things, in cosmetic graphics from game menus there will not be too changes, I do not go to lose my time painting the boxes from battlegroup flags . At this moment, I must fix some of them but nothing more.

Other thing, the LSA had several more groups for the germans, I do not need them and probably I will not use them.

This mod is almost ready. Fpools running, no big errors, all teams made, just I need some small changes in teams adding some special weapons. When I finish everything. I will add the campaign parts from TLD. Without changes in teams and battlegroups. Just Normandy and the neccesary changes. The idea is combat in three campaigns with the same troops in different order. I will add different campaigns.

One addition from the mod are artillery units with indirect fire. The Calliope is one of them but by example the German Wespe can fire above buildings artillery shots.  There are several vehicles with this feature.

The mods vehicles, units, sounds, voices and more were made mostly with the old CC4 Veterans mod from TT and other original CC games.
